Building in Albufeira
Olhos de Água and the town center, near the coast, do not have the same problems as Ferreiras, Guia or Paderne inland. On the coast, cliffs and building pressure count most. Inland, it is rural land and the regional plan.

- At the planning department of Albufeira City Council, with private works forms and a digital counter.
- Flood risk
- The PDM was adapted in February 2026 to include a map of flood risk areas. The town's urbanisation plan was too.
- Cliffs
- The Burgau-Vilamoura coastal plan sets risk and protection bands along the cliffs. Using them requires proof of safety or consolidation works.
- Prices and climate
- The median sale price in the Algarve was €3,352 per m² in Q1 2026 (INE). We did not find an INE figure for Albufeira alone. The national energy manual gives the Algarve a 23.1 °C summer mean.
